Jeffrey P. Lopez, MD
Dr. Jeffrey P. Lopez is a radiation oncologist at the Tri-State Regional Cancer Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Both adjuvant (post-surgical) and palliative radiation therapy are used to treat malignant mesothelioma.
Dr. Lopez earned an undergraduate degree in biology from Indiana University and a medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Following an internship at Butterworth Hospital (Michigan State University), he completed his residency at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago.
In addition to working at the Radiation Oncology Department of Tri-State Regional Cancer Center since 1989, Dr. Lopez is affiliated with King’s Daughter Medical Center (Chairman of the Cancer Committee), Boyd County Medical Society (President), the American College of Radiation Oncology, and the American Medical Association, among others.
