Dr. Steiner is a board-certified thoracic surgeon affiliated with multiple hospitals, including Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, and North Jersey Thoracic Surgical Associates. He was educated at New York University, where he received both his BA and medical degree. Dr. Steiner also competed two residences at NYU, the first in general surgery and the second in cardiothoracic surgery.
During his surgery residency, Dr. Steiner completed a two-year clinical research fellowship in surgical oncology at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He conducted research in epigenetics and gene induction in mesothelioma, lung cancer, and esophageal cancer.
Dr. Steiner’s work has appeared in The Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery and Oncogene, one of the world’s leading cancer journals. He has been selected as one of New Jersey’s Top Doctors by New Jersey Monthly Magazine.
