Paul A. Bunn, Jr., MD
Dr. Bunn has more than 40 years of experience treating mesothelioma and other forms of lung cancer, with nearly 30 of them spent at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He currently serves as a Professor of Medicine in Medical Oncology, as well as Director of the university’s Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Bunn’s lab, which is funded by the National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute, works to develop new growth factor inhibitors for chemoprevention and treatment of lung cancer. He has authored or co-authored over 300 peer-reviewed journal articles concerning the treatment of mesothelioma and other cancers.
Dr. Bunn has served as president of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, and the Association of American Cancer Institutes, as well as chairman of the FDA Oncology Drug Advisory Committee. He currently serves as Executive Director of the IASLC.
