Dr. Bonomi is a medical oncologist currently serving as a Professor of Medicine at Rush University Medical Center. With over three decades of experience, his focus on lung cancer treatment has developed several new cancer-fighting drugs and therapy combinations that are becoming more and more effective. He is also a specialist in the treatment of mesothelioma.

Dr. Bonomi received his medical degree in 1970 from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the Geisinger Medical Center, as well as a fellowship in medical oncology at Rush University.

Dr. Bonomi has authored or co-authored over 150 publications concerning the detection and treatment of small-cell lung cancer, and is a member of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer.
