Robert J. Caccavale, MD
Dr. Caccavale is a board-certified thoracic surgeon, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and a surgeon at Thoracic Group, P.A., which specializes in minimally invasive chest surgery. He is an expert in video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS). VATS is used to diagnose mesothelioma and remove cancerous pleura.
The Thoracic Group is associated with Somerset Medical Center, St. Peter’s University Hospital, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Caccavale is an advisor of the LungCare Comprehensive Cancer Program at CentraState Medical Center and a co-director at the Lung Center Program at Steeplechase Cancer Center. He is also a professor at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Drexel University.
