Pasi A. Janne, MD
Dr. Janne is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, as well as Director of Thoracic Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. His research focuses on study of mutations in epidermal growth factor receptors in non-small cell lung cancer. He has experience conducting clinical trials to investigate different types of thoracic cancers, including malignant mesothelioma. He continues to work to find new treatment methods for peritoneal mesothelioma and pericardial mesothelioma by researching molecular therapeutic targets.
Dr. Janne received his medical degree and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, as well as a residency in internal medicine from Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
He has received awards from the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, as well as the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and has authored or co-authored over 180 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters concerning the treatment of mesothelioma and other cancers.
