Shirish M. Gadgeel, MD
Dr. Gadgeel is an Associate Professor of Medical Oncology at Wayne State University’s Karmanos Cancer Center. His research focuses on treatments and therapies for forms of lung cancer such as mesothelioma. He is considered a specialist in the treatment of mesothelioma.
Dr. Gadgeel received his medical degree from the University of Mumbai, before completing a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in medical oncology from Wayne State University.
Dr. Gadgeel has authored or co-authored several dozen peer-reviewed articles and book chapters concerning treatment of mesothelioma and other forms of lung cancer, and he is a member of professional organizations such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Southwest Oncology Group.
