Scott N. Gettinger, MD
Dr. Gettinger is an Associate Professor in Medicine at Yale University’s Smilow Cancer Hospital, specializing in Medical Oncology. His research covers multidisciplinary disease programs for head and neck and lung cancer, as well as clinical trials exploring new treatments for patients with lung cancer. He is a specialist in the treatment of mesothelioma.
Dr. Gettinger earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Brooklyn College. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, as well as a fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at the same hospital.
Dr. Gettinger is board certified in medical oncology, and is also eligible for certification in hematology. In addition, he was named one of U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Top Doctors.”
