Thierry M. Jahan, MD
Dr. Jahan co-founded the University of California, San Francisco’s Thoracic Oncology Program, and serves as Associate Professor of Medicine at the UCSF School of Medicine. His research at UCSF involves numerous thoracic oncology clinical trials, focusing on target therapies in non-small cell lung cancer and malignant mesothelioma.
Dr. Jahan received his MD from George Washington University, and went on to complete a residency and internal medicine fellowship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. After another fellowship in hematology and oncology at UCSF, Dr. Jahan joined the UCSF faculty to continue his work.
Professional organizations of which Dr. Jahan is a member include the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Association of Northern California Oncologists and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer. He has received numerous awards such as the Friend of the Palliative Care Service Award and the Medical House Staff Outstanding Teacher Award, and has co-authored more than 35 peer-reviewed journal articles on the subject of cancer treatment.
